Bowl Cozies – Beginner (Friday 11th, 5:30 – 8:00)

Make everyday life a little more cozy in this fun and practical Bowl Cozy class using the AccuQuilt! In this class, you’ll learn how to quickly and accurately cut fabric and batting using AccuQuilt dies, then assemble microwave-safe bowl cozies that are perfect for soups, stews, cereal, and snacks. We’ll cover proper layering techniques, stitching for durability, and tips for safe use of heat-resistant materials. This is a great project for confident beginners and experienced sewists alike, and you’ll leave with several finished bowl cozies perfect for gifts or keeping for yourself! 

Supply List

• 2 pieces 100% cotton fabric: 11″ x 11″ (Fabric can not have any metallic accents or embellishments of any kind)
• 1 package of Wrap-N-Zap (makes 4-6 cozies) – cut into 11” x 11” squares
• Coordinating thread – Needs to be 100% cotton, no synthetic
• Sewing machine and basic sewing supplies
• Rotary cutter or scissors
• Ruler
• Fabric marking tool
• Pins or clips
